Straight from Sam Carter herself, Amanda Tapping.
New Stargate movies finally ready to begin shooting? | SCI FI Wire
“As far as I know, we may start in late fall or early winter this year,” Tapping said in an exclusive interview. “And I will slip back into Sam Carter very nicely; I’m looking forward to it.”
So what does this mean? it means we will finally get to see the new Stargate movies around late 2010 or early 2011. Whopeee!

Say what you will, but SG: Universe will still be a hit.
There’s always going to be the nay-sayers. Yes, nobody is contesting the fact that SGU has similarities with Voyager. But then if you’re a Science Fiction god, you’ld know concepts of Voyager has appeared in some other show before. As they say, nothing is original these days, it’s your take on it that makes it yours.
A lot of Stargate “Fans” are dissing the show for some reason. Not having seen a single episode. I say watch a couple of episodes open minded and THEN make your diss if you still feel the same.
It’s not like, in life, things happen only once. hello. You think every idea you have is original? somebody somewhere probably has thought of it before.
So please, I’m tired of reading comments about how crappy the show is going to be and how you’re not going to watch it. You know you will.
